Tourblog (1) - the preperations

Well… A lot has happened since my last tour blog. But now we are almost touring again, so it is time for an update! I will try to update my blog as much as possible, hopefully every day, from now on. If you have questions, just leave a comment, and I’ll try to get back to you!
This time we will tour The Netherlands, Belgium and Germany. Hopefully we will play in some other countries later in 2009.
The tour started this time (like every time) with Neal and myself discussing the set list. And it became a great set list, with a lot of great music. So after agreeing on the set list, we started to learn the stuff. We kept three songs from the Loreley set list, and added a whole bunch of other cool songs. Some songs from every prog solo album of Neal, but also some great surprises from the SB and TA era. Really fun to play, but also very challenging. A lot of stuff to learn… Of course I cannot say anything more about it yet, but I must say, it is a must to see/hear! Oh, and I will have my vocal debuut this tour… 😉
We have rehearsed with the band (without Neal) a few times last month, and this week we had a few days where we would run through the set, so we are prepared when Neal comes.
This Monday or Tuesday we will start rehearsing with Neal at the theater we are going to have our fanclub gig, De Reehorst.
All I can say now, it will be a rocking, powerful, pure, full of emotion, and progressive extravaganza set of gigs! If you don’t have tickets yet, be sure to buy a ticket and come and see us live (the tour schedule is on the home page). We have learned almost 3,5 hours of material. So the set list will change a bit during the tour, so if you come out more than once, you’ll might hear some different stuff.
Tomorrow the tour T-shirts will be delivered, and I have seen the design, and they are pretty cool! Be sure to ‘grab hold’ of one when you come to one of the gigs!
I am looking forward seeing you all during the tour, and rock on!
